What is JUVÉDERM® Dermal Filler?

How much JUVÉDERM will I need?
During treatment, a JUVÉDERM filler is injected into the treatment area by our master injectors using a needle or cannula. JUVÉDERM fillers add volume to the treatment area. Results with JUVÉDERM fillers are not permanent, and retreatment is usually needed to maintain your results.
The amount of filler is patient dependent and largely depends on how much volume loss is present or how much volume increase is desired. We offer a wide array of JUVÉDERM products. This variety and versatility allows our master injectors to choose the right filler for each patient.
What can I expect during my treatment?
After a complimentary consultation, treatment with JUVÉDERM can take 15 minutes to 60 minutes, depending on which area of your face is being treated. JUVÉDERM injectables labeled with "XC" contain pain-reducing lidocaine to help manage pain or discomfort during the injection. Topical numbing cream and ice are also available to help further minimize discomfort.
Results are immediate and may last one year to two years, depending on the formula used and the area treated. The most common side effects are redness, swelling, pain, and tenderness. Following treatment, it is not recommended to exercise for 24 hours and to minimize sun or heat exposure. We do not recommend Juvéderm to clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
